Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Bluegrass Homeschoolers Hybrid Program for the 2024-2025 School Year.  We launched Bowling Green's first homeschool hybrid program in Fall 2023 and excited to expand our program to offer more options for the upcoming year.

K-6 Hybrid Program

Our K-6 Hybrid Program is a drop off program for homeschoolers ages 5-12 where we partner with families to offer the best educational opportunities for students.  Students will attend our program on Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00am to 3:00pm with drop off  from 9:30-10:00am and pick up from 3:00-3:30pm.  There are multiple attendance options available depending on the needs of each family. To secure your spot,  a $100 registration fee is due upon registration pending interview and assessments. Registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.  Monthly payments will be collected on the first of each month beginning August 1st in order for your child to attend.

We are operating a one-room schoolhouse model where multiple age groups will be learning together.  In order to participate in our program, your child needs to be able to use the restroom independently without reminders and age 5 by August 1st.  Here's a copy of our program readiness checklist: https://www.goodandbeautiful.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Kindergarten-Readiness-Final.pdf. We will partner with families to help create an individualized education plan based on each student's ability levels.  We will work together to assess and place students in appropriate leveled materials.  We use levels instead of grades when determining what curricula to use.

In order to keep the classes interactive, we will limit the hybrid program enrollment to 20 students per class. Priority will be given first to students attending full time (4 days per week). Preliminary interviews and a trial day will be conducted to ensure our program will be a good fit for your family.

Through our Hybrid Program, students will not only have access to math and language arts instruction, but also to agriculture, science, history, nature study, and socio-emotional learning as we believe in creating well-rounded educational opportunities.  We believe learning occurs in all environments, not just within the four walls of our classrooms. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to care for our farm animals through hands-on learning experiences, what it takes to create and maintain a garden, how to slow down and appreciate nature, and how to practice mindfulness and positive mindsets.  We will spend just as much time outdoors as we do indoors to cater learning experiences for all types of learners. We believe it's important to play, learn, and grow together in our homeschool journeys.

All families are required to have a Facebook account and check notifications regularly as this is our primary means of communication.  Parents are expected to check our hybrid school communication page at least once a week for announcements and supplies needed for the classes.

Our school year will kick off with our Open House and Ice Cream Social on August 2nd from 11:00am-1:00pm. Classes will begin on August 7th and will meet every Tuesday through Fridays from 10:00am-3:00pm. All classes will meet at our Bowling Green campus.
